Our Story
Hi I’m Dominique, a mother of two beautiful daughters and a lover of natural curly hair. My natural journey started around 12 years ago and since then I’ve seen how saying bye to the likes of relaxers has been the best decision I’ve ever made, more importantly, my girls will have a wonderful journey as they grow with their hair, learning to love their curls in ways I never knew how.

In 2018 I had my first daughter, I never thought I would be "a girl" mum, but one thing that was so prominent to me from the start was that no "nasty" chemicals would ever touch her. fast-forward to 2020 in the midst of the pandemic i gave birth to my second daughter. Having three heads of hair to care for (all different hair types) proved a struggle, and so my search for the ideal hair cream began and never ended, I was never able to find a truly moisturising product that would work in all of our different hair types and last at least a week, not to mention trying to navigate my way through the labyrinth of ingredients lists, using my career experience as a life sciences researcher this is where Amalor (named after my daughters) was birthed.
